Meet Mayra

Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me. Here's a little bit of who I am and why I do what I do.

I'm a lifelong thrifter and lover of old things, first born out of necessity and then out of fascination. My parents were brave immigrants who worked hard to provide us with a world of opportunities and a better life. Growing up in an innovative lower class family taught me that I could make a home look beautiful using secondhand decor. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of hunting for treasures at local flea markets. So, as you can imagine I was introduced to vintage and antique decor from an early age. It was then that I grew an affection for all things old.

Today, I still believe that vintage and antique decor surpasses mass produced decor in charm, beauty and value. I'm passionate about bringing new life to old decor. I love the thrill of the hunt and learning the provenance of special pieces. And because, unfortunately, I can't keep all the things; I get to bring them here for all of you!
