This is the 1847 Rogers Bros, Exquisite silver plated oval gravy bowl dish. 1847 Rogers Bros” was a trademark used starting in 1862. It has a wonderful, yet simple flower design on the brim of the dish. The handle's design makes it easy to grab, and easy to hold while pouring.
Rogers & Bro. was established in 1858 in Waterbury, CT by Asa Jr. and Simeon Rogers. It became a part of the International Silver Co. in 1898. We don't know the date that this gravy boat was made. It could have been any time from the early 1900s to the 1950s.
