Available is a magnificent vase by RS Suhl (Reinhold Schlegelmilch) with an art transfer by artist initials A.F. Depicted are two women gleaners in a field with gold gilding and a cobalt blue base. One woman holds a picked bouquet of pink roses in one hand and wheat in her other arm. She has an expression of contentment. The second woman with a cheerful face is bent over picking wheat. The artist's impeccable talent is displayed in the details of this small artistic scene.
There are few imperfections on this vase. The gilding is beginning to wear on the edges of the handle as shown in photos. The stamp on the bottom of the vase has partially been wiped away. There do not appear to be any chips or cracks.
This elegant vase stands about 8" tall and has an opening of approximately 2" wide.
According to stamp date research this vase was made after WWII, ca. 1948-1956.
